May the Fourth Be With You

Hey I’m playing this Saturday at Andy’s Place in Holly! Prior to the open mic Robb and I From Static Factory will be jamming a whole lot of great tunes acoustic, for the “dinner sets” from 6-8! Bring your guitar, watch the show, and strut your stuff at the open mic afterwards!  

We’re officially one third done with the Song A Day Vlog 2019. I’ve got 122 videos of different songs, sub divided by the arbitrary days-of-the-week categories I’ve chosen to guide my journey throughout the year. I’ve made YouTube playlists for each day, so if you want, say, original work or mostly grunge or classic rock, just click those links to my ever-growing YouTube playlists for those categories. Two gigs, two bands, one venue, this weekend!

I’m playing at the CRB this weekend. A lot. Smokesum N Jammsum are playing two hours of rock after Clyde Fryde this Friday. The show starts at 9! Be there for your 80s Metal needs!

Then on Saturday Predatory Lenders play All.  Night. Long! 3 hours of classic rock and grunge, again the show starts at 9! 

The Vlog is going nicely. I’ve got a ton of videos up now, and I’ve gone so far as to create playlists so if you only want to see grunge videos or Smokesum N Jammsum performances or Static Factory Originals or Predatory Lenders covers you can!

SNJ currently has 19 vids to PL’s 17, so they have the edge, but we’re debuting a lot of new material with PL this weekend, so things could change there. . . 

Also there are over 30 solo acoustic vids so 🤷🏾‍♂️. That’s probably going to be the lion’s share when the dust settles.

Tonight at the Pix Theater and LIVE on the internet!

Static Factory is performing an acoustic set tonight from 7-8 at the Pix Theater in Lapeer! This is a free show and will also be streaming live on the internet at http://solidstateradio.net/radio.html

We will be performing songs from Serenity is Far Away and some newer material as well. I hope to see some friendly faces there, but also check it out online if you get a minute, it’s going to be rad!

3 Gigs with 3 Bands the next 3 weekends!

I’ve got a lot of rehearsals these days!  Predatory Lenders are playing the Superhorndog CD release show at the Corunna Road Bar in Flint this Saturday with Dee Rocker and the Hellrazors. That show should be epic. 

A week from Friday, on March 8th, Static Factory returns to play acoustic versions of songs from Serenity is Far Away and some new material as well, at the Solid State Radio Live Show In Lapeer at the Pix Theater. This is a free show at an awesome theater venue. It WILL be epic. I’m excited to share these arrangements with the world (again). 

Finally on St Patrick’s Day weekend, Smokesum N Jammsum is playing a set of original metal at the new Phoenix venue in Hazel Park. This will be an all ages show with a cover (probably $10 if history is any indication). I haven’t played the new Phoenix yet, but i loved their old space, which I always described as an “all ages punk rock art gallery”. I assume it’s just as awesome. 

So come see me play bass, sing, play acoustic guitar, sing, and play the the drums. And sing.
