Tomorrow Night in Flint!

  I am playing acoustic to open the rock show at the CRB tomorrow night at 9 PM! I’ll be playing with Nosey Parker and Torn Away. Those are both full bands that are jamming after I open the show solo. I’m excited to catch their sets! Come have a drink and check it out. 

Later on in December I’m playing bass with Crash Behavior, but the next gig after tomorrow night will likely be on the drums for me, with Smokesum N Jammsum at the Whaley Jam at Jester’s Lounge. It’s a two day event with tons of bands. We’re playing at midnight on Friday night! It’s a charity event for a worthy cause, $10 at the door or an unwrapped toy gets you in for a whole LOT of music.

Double Duty!

I’ve got a double gig tomorrow night! Myself and Dan “Crash” Jenkins from Smokesum ‘N’ Jammsum will be opening the night of music at the Corunna Road Bar at around 930PM. I’ll be playing bass for most of the set, though there will likely be some double acoustic jams as well. We will be joined by a drummer we’ve never played with, who was at our debut performance and loved our setlist. His name is Tony Moreno and I’m excited to hear him play. 

The band is titled “Crash Behavior” for that show, though that might not stick. I have a million of them really. 

We’re opening for. . .Smokesum ‘N’ Jammsum! So after Dan and I jam through a bunch of songs on bass and guitar, respectively, we’ll be swapping instruments and playing drums and bass with S’N’J for the rest of the night! It’s an all-nighter for us!

In Static Factory news, we’re scheduled to have an acoustic performance Live on the internet on Saturday, September 22nd starting at 1PM on thelocalscream.com. I’ll be sharing links on Facebook around that time as well, because I’ll be the guest co-host for the entire TLS broadcast that day with Heather Metal, one of the main hosts for that show. If you tune in earlier you can probably hear me being a complete jackass about something.

T Minus ~3 Hours to Metal!

Static Factory returns to the stage at the Corunna Road Bar tonight! We go on late, but come early and see Steve Salter and the Dead Serious! Music starts at 930 and I’m excited for people to see our new drummer Dave in action! 

Smokesum N Jammsum keeps booking gigs for me to play with them on the drums, so if Dave doesn’t bring enough thunder I’ll have some to spare. Check out the SNJ event page here. 

Heather from SNJ is also a host of the Local Scream Radio show, and I’ll be co-hosting her broadcast on September 22nd from 12-3, live on the internet. I’m going to try and bring Static Factory with me to play some acoustic tunes. I’ll put that on blast deeper into September.

Busy Weekends Ahead

Well there’s a lot of stuff going on these days. Static Factory is back at it with new drummer Dave Kincius, and we’re playing a set at the Corunna Road Bar on Friday August 3rd, playing the entirety of Serenity is Far Away with a couple extra songs on the side. It’s going to be a barnburner with two other acts TBD at the moment!

Smokesum N Jammsum are playing a bunch this weekend, with a gig tonight at the CRB with Mutha F and the Heavy Boots (2 sets for each of us)! We’re also playing a show tomorrow at the Flint Motorcycle Club in support of their Rock the Bowl event! I have some free tickets and i will hand them out to anyone interested in coming!

Further, Daniel from the open mic in Holly which I frequent (Every Saturday night 8-11 at Andy’s Place downtown) has asked me to play a couple hours of acoustic music to open the open mic next Saturday, 6-8 on July 28th. I’ll be playing a mix of crowd-pleasers, weird pop, and grunge, though if there’s something you want in particular don’t hesitate to show up and make a request!
