Vlog and rock show tonight!

We are about three weeks into the song a day the log for 2019! I posted a different song every day this year so far, and I’m not gonna stop. Further my zany producers are out to make things interesting. So hopefully you find their antics entertaining. The picture for this post is a running tally of the first three weeks of the Vlog. Check it out, and make sure to visit our YouTube page here and subscribe, and like those videos!

Predatory Lenders ( myself, Dan Jenkins, and Antonio Moreno )  are ramping up their game! Tonight, we’re headlining the Corunna Road bar, playing two sets starting around 11 o’clock. The Jeff Arnold trio opens up, so be there early around nine to take in the whole show. Careful on the roads, they’re rough today.

Cheers,

Song a Day VLOG 2019

First thing this year, I’d like to thank all of my musical collaborators the last 12 months, and then announce a new project!

Thank you to Robert Dudock Eric Gricius Dave Kincius Tommy Blair Heather Jensen Scott Liestman Daniel Jenkins Antonio Moreno and anyone else i worked with in 2018 musically. It’s been a pretty rad year and we’ve had some great gigs and good times!

This year I’m launching a vanity YouTube project on my home Static Factory YouTube channel, where I plan to post a performance of a different song every day for the entire year. I’ve started it with a solo performance of a Third Eye Blind Song. Each day of the week is devoted to different genres of music. Sunday’s will be original works, most of which will be musical in nature. We’ll see where the year takes us.

Check out the video and like and subscribe if you want to watch me put myself and probably some of my friends through hell this year!

Saturday 12/29 Acoustic in Holly at Andy’s Place!

I’ll be opening the open mic with my friend Dan from recent band endeavors! I normally play bass in our combo, so I’ll be backing him up on the bass half of the show and he’ll be doing the same for me for the other half. I’m hoping some other friends show up that I can cajole into playing with us, but we will see. . .

In the new year I’m planning on an ambitious vanity project involving YouTube and a LOT of concert footage from gigs. We will see whether I can accomplish my goal, but the plan is to post a different song every day for a full year! Look for a link in upcoming posts starting January 1st!

Cheers,

Rockshow at the CRB tonight!

Hey sillies,

Crash Behavior is playing the CRB tonight! It will likely be the last show we play under that name, as Jeff from corporate has told me it isn’t testing well with our target demographics. We will be sure to keep you updated on our entire rebranding process. And if you want to participate in the focus testing we’re doing for it, go ahead and click here.

Also, the show lineup has updated to include our other outfit Smokesum N Jamsumm! So come on up and check out 3 bands, two of which feature two of the same dudes, and 3 of which rock out all the damn time!  There was too many numbers in that last sentence for me.

Cheers,

Tomorrow Night in Flint!

I am playing acoustic to open the rock show at the CRB tomorrow night at 9 PM! I’ll be playing with Nosey Parker and Torn Away. Those are both full bands that are jamming after I open the show solo. I’m excited to catch their sets! Come have a drink and check it out.

Later on in December I’m playing bass with Crash Behavior, but the next gig after tomorrow night will likely be on the drums for me, with Smokesum N Jammsum at the Whaley Jam at Jester’s Lounge. It’s a two day event with tons of bands. We’re playing at midnight on Friday night! It’s a charity event for a worthy cause, $10 at the door or an unwrapped toy gets you in for a whole LOT of music.

Peace,

 -Merlin
